We have reserved hotel room allocations and discounts for conference participants. Below you will find more information about the accommodation options and booking instructions. Each participant is responsible for booking and paying for their own hotel room. Please make your reservation in good time – some allocations/discounts have a limited number of rooms and a specified last date for booking at the discounted rate.
Rovaniemi offers a wide range of accommodation options for visitors. In addition to hotels, you may also consider Airbnb apartments near the city center or the university.
Arctic Light Hotel and Arctic City Hotel
With the code: SOSIOLOGIPÄIVÄT guests can book accommodation on the websites of both hotels with a 15% discount.
The discount does not apply to the Non-refundable rate; however, guests may also book their stay at this rate.
Please note that reservations made at this rate cannot be changed or cancelled free of charge.
The code is valid immediately, and bookings can be made for 7–8 May 2025.
Discounted bookings are available only through the websites using the code SOSIOLOGIPÄIVÄT.
The code is entered in the upper right corner of the booking window under “Offer/Gift card code.”

Room reservations can easily be made via the following link: VARAA MAJOITUS.
Through the link, conference guests can book a room directly at a discounted rate.
Guests may choose their preferred room type and receive an additional discount by paying for the reservation at the time of booking. The cancellation policy for individual reservations depends on the selected booking type. To confirm the reservation, guests must provide the hotel with valid credit card details. Rooms are available subject to hotel availability up to 10 days prior to arrival.

The price includes breakfast and access to evening sauna shifts. Rooms are available from 3:00 PM on the day of arrival. Check-out is by 12:00 noon on the day of departure.
All rooms are physically double rooms; the room rate is determined by the number of guests staying.
The room rate includes S-bonuses or S-card benefits. No additional owner-customer discount is available from this price.

Validity
50% of the unbooked rooms in the allocation will be released for general sale on 26 April 2026.
The remaining unbooked rooms in the allocation will automatically be released for sale on 29 April 2026 at 6:00 PM.
Reservation confirmation
Room reservations made from the allocation must be confirmed with a credit card or paid at the time of booking. The last free cancellation date for individual reservations made from the allocation is 7 days prior to arrival. We primarily recommend making reservations by phone or online. Please note that, for data protection reasons, credit card details must not be sent by email.
Payment method
Each guest is responsible for their own accommodation expenses. We accept cash, debit cards, or credit cards.
Disclosure of personal data: In accordance with the Personal Data Act, the disclosure of personal data of individuals who have booked from the allocation to a third party may only take place with the individual’s consent.
Transfer of contract
The customer does not have the right to transfer the contract or assign the rented premises to a third party without the written consent of the hotel or restaurant. If the reservation is transferred to a third party with the hotel’s consent, Sokos Hotel reserves the right to change the original prices and booking terms.
Liability of the contracting party
The hotel is not responsible for damage to or theft of property belonging to the contracting party or their customers. The customer is responsible for obtaining appropriate insurance covering damage to hotel property and damage to materials during transport to and from the hotel. The contracting party is responsible for informing their customers of these matters.

Room types and cancellation terms:
The available room category and number of rooms are determined by general availability at the time of booking.
The above booking code offers two different cancellation policies:
Non-refundable: The reservation is paid at the time of booking, and the payment will not be refunded if the reservation is cancelled.
With cancellation option: The reservation is paid at check-in. The reservation can be cancelled free of charge until 6:00 PM on the day prior to arrival.
The applicable cancellation policy is determined by the option selected by the customer at the time of booking.
Hostel Cafe Koti
The code Sosiologipäivät is valid for 6–10 May 2025 and provides accommodation at 15% below the standard rate on their own website.

7–8 May 2026 discounted rates for conference participants:
Single room 90 EUR / night
Double room 105 EUR / night
Prices include buffet breakfast, Wi-Fi, and evening sauna.
The price is valid until 7 April when booking with the code SP. Reservations can be made either by email at info@hotelliaakenus.net or by phone at +358163422051. The allocation includes 20 rooms.
Payment and cancellation terms:
The room can be cancelled free of charge 7 days prior to arrival; payment is made upon arrival. If you do not arrive, have not cancelled the reservation in advance, or cancel less than 7 days before arrival, the full value of the stay will be charged as a cancellation fee.
