Membership of The Westermarck Society

Please note that registration to the Sociological Conference is always cheaper for members of The Westermarck Society. The annual membership fee of The Westermarck Society is 26€ for students and 67€ for other members. You may take advantage of the price categories for members as soon as you join the society.

Online Conference

The Annual Sociological Conference 2021 will be held primarily online. There is no need therefore to travel to Helsinki for the conference. The entire programme of the conference will be available online for participants. There may be a possibility of restricted on-site attending during for example the panel discussion, but we will strictly follow the instructions of the University of Helsinki and health officials in this matter. The evening party in its often-crowded form will not be held, but we are considering other alternatives for the evening programme.

All working groups will gather on Zoom. Registered participants to the conference may choose to follow a working group even if they are not themselves presenting a paper.
