Getting around

Sociology Days 2015 take place in the heart of the city centre. University of Helsinki Main Building is located by the Senate Square, walking distance (600 meters) from the Central Railway Station. Trams 1/1A, 2, 4/4T and 7A/7B stop next to the Main Building.

With a single ticket you can hop aboard trams, busses, the metro and even the ferry to Suomenlinna. Daytickets are available for unlimited use on public transportation for 1-7 days. They can be purchased from ticket machines, from the Tourist Information or from the Helsinki City Transport service point in the Central Railway Station. One day tickets are also sold by the drivers.

Regional tickets allow the holder to travel freely in Helsinki, Espoo, Kauniainen and Vantaa.

Helsinki Region Transport provides public transport services between Helsinki Airport and the metropolitan area. In addition, many long distance buses stop at the airport.
